The Summit will be held on Tuesday, October 29th, at the Capitol Plaza Hotel in Montpelier. Governor Shumlin views the Summit as a unique opportunity to reach agreement on an overarching Early Childhood Framework, which will guide our individual and collective work to ensure the healthy development of all Vermont's young children.

Excel 2016 mac switch to manual calculations for a. To recalculate the formulas in a workbook when calculation is manual, press F9 or Ctrl+ = (equal sign) or select the Calculate Now button (the one with a picture of a calculator in the upper-right corner of the Calculation group) on the Formulas tab (Alt+MB). Excel then recalculates the formulas in all the worksheets of your workbook. Manual - turns off automatic calculation in Excel. Open workbooks will be recalculated only when you explicitly do so by using one of these methods. Alternatively, you can change the Excel calculations settings via Excel Options: In Excel 2010, Excel 2013, and Excel 2016, go to File Options Formulas Calculation options section Workbook Calculation. The Excel Options dialog box displays. Click 'Formulas' in the list of items on the left. In the Calculation options section, click the 'Manual' radio button to turn on the ability to manually calculate each worksheet. When you select 'Manual', the 'Recalculate workbook before saving' check box is automatically checked. This is driving me a little bit crazy. In my old PC days I used to press either F5 or F9 (I can't remember) to have Excel recalculate. What is the Mac equivalent? PS: Perhaps this is not the place to ask. If so, please redirect me. Once you've turned on manual calculation, you can click 'Calculate Sheet' in the Calculation section of the Formulas tab, or press Shift+F9. For example, if you enter July 5, 2011, Excel converts the date to the serial number 40729. This is the default date system in Excel for Windows, Excel 2016 for Mac, and Excel for Mac 2011.

Eligibility

To become a Summit Public School teacher, you should have:

• A commitment to uphold Summit's values and a belief that all children deserve a rigorous and equitable education that prepares them for college and life
• Teaching Credentials in California or Washington or another U.S. State (or a commitment to obtain a credential by completing an educator preparation program within two years of starting at Summit)
• A Bachelor's Degree (a Master's Degree in Education is preferred but not required)
• Clear health and background checks
• Teaching experience in your subject preferred but not required

Process Overview & Timeline

Our hiring process typically lasts three to four weeks. Candidates often have the ability to accelerate this process by responding in a timely manner and keeping the flow of communication open. Our hiring team carefully reviews all completed applications.

Application Submission

When reviewing your resumé, we are interested in the progression and milestones of your career. Rather than simply writing the title of your position ('Tenth Grade Science Teacher'), we want to know more about your role and responsibilities in that position. We encourage you to highlight your accomplishments in each role and how they demonstrate your expertise. If you have a video of yourself teaching, we strongly encourage you to share that with us! Videos help give us a sense of how you interact with your students.

Phone Interview

(20-30 minutes)

If you advance to the phone interview stage, a member from the hiring team will reach out to schedule a brief phone call. Our aim is to understand who you are, why you're interested in Summit, and whether you might be a good match for our open roles. Come prepared with questions so that you get a sense of whether Summit is the right fit for you.

School Leader Interview

(Estimated 60 minutes)

Following a successful phone interview, you'll be asked to interview with a group of Summit school leaders. The interview is conducted either in-person at one of our school sites or via video conference. The interview will include performance tasks and behavioral questions. We'll provide additional information about preparing for this interview ahead of time.

After the school leader interview, we may ask for additional follow-up information. You can generally expect to hear back from us within one week after a school leader interview.

Summit's research-based instructional approach informs everything we do and helped us create an educational experience unlike any other — one that supports the whole student throughout the school day.

The Teacher's Role

Teachers are at the heart of every Summit classroom serving as content experts, mentors, and leaders. They ensure that students have the right supports to meet and exceed grade-level expectations; help students practice self-direction, an invaluable skill that students will use in all parts of their lives; and provide mentoring and coaching to help students reach their goals.
